Wisdom Horse Presenting at EGEA International Conference
MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 20, 2010 — Lynn Baskfield and Ann Romberg, founders of Minnesota-based Wisdom Horse Coaching, will present two programs at the 6th International Conference of the Equine Guided Education Association (EGEA), Jan. 27-30, at Sky Horse Ranch in Sonoma County, Calif.
This year’s conference will feature Rupert Isaacson, author of the acclaimed book “The Horse Boy” about his son’s journey with autism and how a horse became his healer.
Keynote speaker will be Ariana Strozzi, a pioneer in the field of equine-guided education and co-founder of EGEA.
Baskfield and Romberg will lead a medicine wheel activity with horses, demonstrating how this Native American cultural practice can bring healing and new perspectives. Baskfield will also co-present the program “Creating and Teaching Storytelling in EGE.”
Conference programs for attendees in the horse as teacher/healer professions include a wide range of presentations, demonstrations, panel discussions and group sessions.
Association members include coaches, educators, consultants, mental health therapists, wholistic health educators, human development facilitators, teachers, alternative education specialists, horse trainers, riding instructors and human resources professionals.
