Equine Coaching Tip
Leading to get unstuck
Many times when clients come out to work with the horses,
they are stuck someplace. Typically they are focusing on
some tough detail that is a part of a bigger vision or
project. We frequently see that reflected in the way they
lead the horse. They look back at the horse or down at the
ground. We see squinted eyes or frowns or tight jaws. The
horse hesitates or won’t move or takes over leadership.
To get them out of this stuck place, we ask them to pick a
spot in the arena at least 30 feet away; a place that
represents where they the intend to go, i.e. what is the
bigger picture? Where is your destination? And then ask
them to look at that place and lead the horse. They report
it was MUCH easier—“the horse just followed me!”. They
take this back into their lives and “look up” when they get
stuck. It gives them access to their intuition, it shifts
their bodies into a position where they can lead the
project, not frown at it!

Life Balance for Busy Women - July 9 & 10
We still have a few openings for wonderful busy women to
recharge, and find their deepest wisdom reflected in the
eyes or the horses.
Custom Workshops – Corporate Teams
We will do our second custom EAL session for a local
corporation in early August. This time they are bringing
in executives from corporate headquarters. We are truly
looking forward to this opportunity to expose this valuable
work and learning opportunity to high level executives.
Apprenticeships
We started our second apprentice in June! We also receive
weekly calls/emails from people interested in our
apprenticeship. We think we have a unique offer for
someone looking to customize an EAL program for themselves.
Corporate Connection
We are in the midst of forging a relationship with a local
conference center to offer EAL to their corporate clients
who come there for retreats. It is a VERY exciting
opportunity with a win-win for us, the conference center
and their clients
Sept. 14 - Life Balance for Busy Leaders
This is a new workshop in the Life Balance series. We want
to give busy leaders a chance to get out of the office for
4 hours on a Wednesday afternoon, take a break and learn
something new that they can apply immediately to their
leadership or teams.

Our next public demonstration.
Writing the Wind II - In-progress
This is the second in a the writing workshop series
designed by Lynn. We a great group of writers who are
being inspired by horses.
Stepping Through the Gate Revamped
Our colleague Larry Freeborg, with Ann’s support is in the
process of revamping this workshop to focus on leadership
and business development. He hopes to offer it publicly in
September.
