New Apprentice Openings February 1
Just a reminder for all of you who are thinking about doing
our apprenticeship. Our next opening starts February 1. As
the holidays approach, this might be a good time to have a
conversation with family and friends about gifting you with
a portion of the tuition!
In any case, let us know as soon as possible if you would
like to start in February. We look forward to designing a
program that is just right for you.
What we are up to
Our October was full with executive team workshops,
individual coaching, and starting our 8 apprentices on
their next phase. A richly satisfying month!
In November we did our annual business planning retreat,
creating our vision collage for 2008 and putting plans in
place to move forward with it. We see many more highly
functioning executives and teams who want to bring soul
into the workplace. We see apprentices continuing to custom
design their training with us. We see many individuals
coming to learn leadership presence, embrace change and
deepen their spirits.
Also in November we did our first of many meeting room
presentations that include our video and some great
experiential leadership activities. The video helps us
"bring the horses to the people" when we can't bring the
people to the horses. Participants come away with several
new leadership insights AND we get prospective clients!
If you know of any organizations looking for speakers, let
us know. We'd love to bring the wisdom of the horses to
their next meeting.

Our Facilities
Hawk's Ridge Ranch - Our Home Facility
We continue to work with Dr. Su Wahl and her staff at
Healing Arts Wellcare Center (HAWC)in Hudson, Wisconsin to
design programs that bring you a clear, personalized
framework for taking the steps you need to take to have the
life you want .
When the weather starts to get cold in the Twin Cities
area, we have partnered with these facilities to offer
warmer climates or heated indoor arenas to keep you
comfortable while you work with the horses.Gainey

Creek Ranch (Arkansas) and Istana Properties (Panama) -

your family or group!
Kindness at the Crazy Horse Cafe
While in Las Vegas recently, my husband Bill and I took
time out from preparing my daughter's house for sale to go
to a nice restaurant for dinner. We were seated at a
candlelit table covered with a white linen cloth. Our
waiter, Tony, was built like a refrigerator and had the
presence of a prince. He served us with such grace and care
that we left feeling nourished not only in body, but in
spirit as well.
A couple of days later, after working hard on the house, we
asked a local woman where we might find a casual but decent
place to eat a late night supper. She sent us to the Crazy
Horse Café across the street from our hotel. As we were
being seated, my husband nudged me and said, "Isn't that
Tony, our waiter from the other night, eating with a friend
over there?" I found it hard to believe that, in a city of
two million people, we would run into the same person
twice. But, sure enough, it was him.
We went over to greet Tony and tell him what a marvelous
experience we had at his table the other night. He
remembered exactly what we had to eat and was delighted
that we remembered him. Then, Bill and I sat down at our
own table and ordered our dinner. While we were eating,
Tony and his friend finished their meal and waved goodbye
as they left.
Soon our waitress appeared with what we thought was our
bill. "Read this," she said to Bill as she held it like a
small billboard in front of his face. A hand printed note
said "Lynn and Bill, your check is paid in full. Enjoy.
Tony." It took us a minute to find words for how we felt
about this unexpected gift. Words still don't adequately
express how deeply touched we were.
What I can say is this: Tony changed my life that day. With
that one gesture, I understood that one individual touching
another changes the world. It's that simple. Tony showed me
what it is to truly touch someone. His generous gift made
me want to look for ways do acts of kindness.
