Greetings!

Summer in all its fullness and abundance carries with it the promise of life-fulfilling changes. As with Lynn's riotous crop of succulent red raspberries that burst forth abundantly in the midst of drought, at Wisdom Horse Coaching we look to our clients, friends, horses, facilities, support people, ideas, and new programs and see abundance in a dry economy. Focus creates experience. What is lush in your life?

Greetings from Ann and Lynn

This year is one of planting marketing seeds, developing new programs and doing our own professional development. We've been busy! In April, Ann traveled to Scotland to visit colleagues Beth and Aidan Duff and participate in a Barbara Rector workshop. While there, Ann co-facilitated two workshops with Beth at Red Horse Speaks, traveled through parts of Scotland and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and people there.

Lynn went to California for an advanced practitioners’ workshop with Ariana Strozzi.

In May we did a public demonstration and a leadership workshop. We also navigated various personal and family challenges, the things of life that, when all is said and done, are the things we attend to no matter what.

In June we rolled out new offers and programs:
• An equine guided creativity series
• A Train the Trainer 3-day
• Developed a new Affiliate Program for EGE professionals
• Developed a year-long Honoring Soul program
If we have transformed your life through the work we do with the horses, please tell your colleagues and friends about Wisdom Horse Coaching. We are grateful for your references!

Katie's Nap - A Story from Scotland
The day dawned in Aberdeenshire, Scotland with a slight fog that burned off quickly in the morning sun, leaving soft dew on the green grass. Aidan, my host, went on ahead to get started picking poo from the pastures, a daily ritual to keep the flies down and the water pure. He came back immediately. "Katie is lying down asleep" he announced excitedly. "If we go quietly perhaps we can sit with her."

Katie, a grey yearling filly, raised her head as we approached slowly, looking still quite sleepy despite the fact that her eyes were open. We talked gently to her assuring her we only wanted to be with her and not ask her to do anything. Soon we were sitting at her back gently stroked her neck and face. As the other horses grazed some distance away, we snuggled in closer and in moments she breathed a deep sigh and lay her head on Aidan's lap. No longer a small filly, her head filled nearly the length of his legs.

We sat still while she slept, enjoying this sacred time of trust she felt for us from her vulnerable position. She snored for many minutes then started to dream with legs moving ever so slightly as if running a great race and arriving at the finish line to win!

Too soon she began to wake, sitting up still bleary- eyed from her deep sleep. The gentle, loving trust given to us by such a powerful animal fills my soul.

Tula, the lead mare of the herd at Hawk's Ridge, wasn't about to let technology outrun her. After much searching, she found a keyboard that fit her hooves and started twittering -- make that whinnying--away online. You can follow her at: twitter. com/tulawisdomhorse

Send her a sweet tweet!

Did You Know...?
A horse can see better at night than a human? However, it takes a horse's eyes longer to adjust from light to dark and from dark to light than a human's.
