Wisdom Horse® Coaching Newsletter Transforming the workplace and the world through Equine-Guided Education November 2009
Greetings!
November reminds us to give thanks. It is a time to enjoy good friends and share bounteous food! Whether it be turkey or tofu, savor the tastes! Hopefully we can all appreciate the benefits life offers us (including good food), but true thankfulness emanates from being in a conscious state.
From early on in our lives we were told to say "Thank you" when we receive a gift. We here at Wisdom Horse Coaching know we have been given many gifts. We would like to take this opportunity to mindfully thank you, our clients, customers, and colleagues, and savor all the good things you bring.
We use Constant Contact to manage our subscriber list.

She Must Have Been a Coach
Coaches ask provocative questions that make you think, move and go beyond where you have ever been. The quote below is from "The Invitation", a poem by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. She could have been a coach.
"I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human. "

Did You Know? Horses don't have a gallbladder? In the wild, foals will suckle until they are a year old, and sometimes longer? The horse has the largest eyes of any land animal? A horse's teeth occupy more space in its head than its brain? Horses are not color-blind? Horses have memories that put elephants to shame?
Greetings from Ann and Lynn Every third session of Lynn's creativity class, we go out to see the horses. Who better than horses to deepen our connection with our artistic souls?
We Begin to Remember
Slowly the nine women climbed under the pasture fence and walked quietly among the ten horses, taking the time to know and be known.
As the sun lowered, painting great displays of orange and red across the darkening sky, I brought up the volume of the CD player I had toted out and encouraged the women to move as the music moved them, to see Joseph's face in Paul Simon's rhthms, and to start hearing their own stories under the same yellow moon that shone in his eyes.
"This is the story of how we begin to remember.
This is the powerful pulsing of love in the vein."
The beat and the beauty of the night moved the women from tenuous to full throttle, feet stomping the earth, arms in the air, bodies swaying in the big pasture. Continue the story here
