Deep brown fur with a slight reddish hue on her flanks, one white spot on one side of her chest and one black ankle. She’s beautiful and wise. I ask her what’s blocking me. She shifts from hoof to hoof and listens as to my surprise, I answer myself. Then she hugs me, a full horse wrap around hug! How she does this I have no idea. She’s huge. Funny, I’m not afraid at all. I love to be close to her, my arms around her neck, my belly pressed against her belly, feeling her velvet nose and lips at my fingers....

  

She lifts her head and gazes out. Look beyond the corral, drop the fences and move into the world she tells me. That is my adventure, my gift. She nibbles on my head some more, looking for food it seems. The world, other people are hungry for my stories, my poems, my films, my art. It’s time to share. I declare, “I will share. I will share.” So next week I will bring a finished piece, Song of Africa interwoven with poetry and images, to share with all.
